The Community Development Department assists the public through the process and adminstration of Zoning, Building, Health, Planning and Code Enforcement.

We have streamlined the process for obtaining permits. Home owners or contractors now come to the Community Development counter and obtain all the permits necessary to construct their project, whether the permits are for building, electrical, plumbing and/or mechanical (gas piping or heating units). Gas and mechanical permits can also be obtained at the Hudson Fire Department Administration Building at the corner of Ferry and Library Streets.

The Community Development Department will continue to refine the process so that the public can feel comfortable coming to Town Hall and leave with the permits or information that they need for a project.
